Polarians is the Forest and Twilight project of Ruben Sponar, also known as Rubuscubus, and Joana Gregório, also known as Coguie.

Rubuscubus is an Audio Engineer and Electronic Music Producer since 2010, signed to Woo Dog Records since 2019. Known for funky and energetic basslines, his music turns any dancefloor into a bubbly and enchanted forest tale.

Coguie is a Forest and Twilight DJ since 2012 and a dedicated music producer apprentice. Signed to Purple Hexagon Records since 2015, she is known for deep atmospheric journeys filled with powerful rhythms and spooky forest inspired melodies.

Polarians was born as a way to blend their inner musical polarities. Dark and light, day and night, sun and moon, sound and silence. They merge these forces into a harmonious union that defines their identity. They created their own sound effect instrument box and record everyday objects to build organic and clear sounds inside their digital worlds.

This approach lets them combine the best of digital production with the raw textures of their acoustic recordings. As owners of the modular company CubuSynth, they use their own Eurorack modules to build otherworldly soundscapes and perform live, bringing a unique touch to every set.
