Guilherme Palma, aka DJ Gui Rusty, was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, where he still lives. He had his first contact with the Brazilian electronic music scene in the early 2000s. In 2006, in order to professionalize his passion, he started attending DJing classes at the now-defunct GuaruDJ’s, where he was mentored by the renowned darkpsy producer Nuccho (Necropsycho). He is an artist who has performed at major and promising Brazilian festivals such as ReveillOz (Mundo de Oz), 28 Hours Trance, Trance In Gru, Apollo28, HighStage, PVTzinha, among others. With 18 years of experience, his performances feature a high level of daring mixing techniques, avoiding labels and standards with each presentation. He has found great identification with night psytrance and has been evolving his music within this genre. In addition to being a DJ, Gui Rusty is the promoter of the 28 Hours Trance festival, currently one of the most praised events in the rave culture, as well as other festivals focused on underground psytrance in Brazil. –
